John Cena's retirement tour begins in 2025 and is seemingly set to conclude before the end of the coming year. One of Cena's oldest rivals has said that he selfishly wants to be a part of this run.

The superstar in question is WWE legend The Miz. He was one-half of the World Tag Team Champions until he and R-Truth were dethroned by The Judgment Day's Finn Balor and JD McDonagh. The A-Lister has crossed paths with Cena before, facing him in the main event of WrestleMania 27 and a mixed tag team match at WrestleMania 33.

At The Show of Shows in 2017, Cena and his then-partner, Nikki Bella, teamed up to take on The Miz and the latter's wife, Maryse. In a chat with CBS Sports, The Miz expressed his desire to be involved in Cena's retirement tour.

"I am putting my name in the hat!" Miz said. "I've been in the ring a lot with John Cena and selfishly I'd want more because that's how much fun it is getting into the ring with Cena." (H/T: CBS Sports)

The Miz previously revealed how the "Invisible" John Cena segment came about

The Miz has been one of WWE's most reliable competitors for years and is now one of the longest-tenured veterans in the locker room. Last year, he was involved in a losing feud against LA Knight.

In the fallout of it all, he did a segment where he was interviewing an invisible Cena, drawing mixed reactions from the viewers.

Speaking to TNT Sports, The Miz revealed how the "Invisible Cena" segment materialized.

"I got told by one of the writers, they were like, 'Yeah, you're going to interview John Cena.' And I go, 'He's not on RAW like he's not there.' And they go, 'Exactly.' And I go [shocked face] 'Invisible John Cena? This is the best.' So, we were sitting there writing it and we were like, 'Alright. How do we make this absolutely incredible?' And I was like, 'I gotta hit him with a Skull Crushing Finale, you know.' But you can't just hit him, you gotta play it a little bit, right, like he's there (...) The way the audience reacted to it was so perfect and it helped so much," The Miz said. [14:33 - 15:48]

The Miz has always been one to help put over others without any reservations. He is currently working in the tag team division alongside R-Truth.
