Former WWE CEO Vince McMahon had a big fallout after being part of several lawsuits. He was removed from his position as a board member of TKO Group Holdings when charges of sexual misconduct with a female former employee were placed on him. Now, a recently released WWE star has spilled the beans on a pitch Mr. McMahon had for a female talent that was not followed through with.
Dijak’s contract with the Stamford-based promotion ended on June 27, 2024, following which he wrote a very frustrated open letter. Notably, while he had already vented his anger on WWE, he has now unveiled another insider information involving Vince McMahon.
While speaking to Pro Wrestling Bits, he opened up about Mr. McMahon pitching the idea of Mia Yim faking a seizure on TV. He said that neither the stars nor the production team looked happy about it.
"You could see in their face that they’re like, ‘I’m sorry, but Vince (McMahon) wants you to have a seizure.’ And she’s (Mia Yim) like—we’re all like— 'What are you talking about? We can’t do this,'" Dijak said. [16:10 - 16:24]
Dijak further noted that Vince McMahon personally paid a visit to make the pitch again and nobody dared to stop or correct him.
"Vince (McMahon) came back and he pitched this seizure thing and everyone was like, (exclamation). But like, that's the way that the production meetings worked back then under Vince. He'd say something and everyone would just have wide eyes because like you can't call him on it, you can't be like, 'No Vince, that's f*****g stupid. Because he'll just fire you, you'll not have a job anymore," Dijak said. [16:32 - 16:53]
While Vince McMahon is out of WWE now, people are hopeful that he will likely come back to the pro wrestling business once again.
Vince McMahon may be secretly working with his son Shane McMahon to buy out AEW, believes former WWE head writer
The pro wrestling circle is currently witnessing several rumors saying that Vince McMahon could buy out AEW. The rumors got more wind when Jim Ross revealed on his Grilling JR podcast that Shane McMahon may soon work with the Tony Khan-led promotion. Speaking about this, former WWE head writer Vince Russo gave his take on the rumors on Sportskeeda Wrestling’s Writing With Russo podcast.
"It (purchasing AEW) could be under the guise of Shane, that's what I'm saying. Shane is as clean as a whistle. Vince could be behind it without anybody knowing it, bro," Vince Russo said. [25:08 - 25:20]
So far, there is no official news about anything, but the pro wrestling world mostly works in the shadows. It would be interesting to see if these rumors actually have some substance in them, and if WWE will really face a threat if Mr. McMahon buys AEW.
