A former WWE Superstar released earlier this year recently claimed that his time in the Stamford-based wrestling promotion has set him for the rest of his life. The name in question is Raj Dhesi (fka Jinder Mahal).
The Modern Day Maharaja was released from his contract in April alongside Indus Sher. The 38-year-old unsuccessfully challenged Seth Rollins in a match for the World Heavyweight Championship earlier this year. His last in-ring appearance, however, was in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal on the SmackDown before WrestleMania XL.
Jinder Mahal recently took to TikTok to share a video addressing several fans who claimed the global juggernaut dropped the ball with him. The former World Champion dismissed such claims as he reflected on his run with the company, having won several titles over the years. Mahal revealed that his time with the wrestling promotion set him up for the rest of his life.
"So I see this comment a lot, and I wanna kinda share my opinion on it. ‘WWE dropped the ball on me’ – I would say that’s not true. Had a very long career, 12 years in WWE. WWE Champion, won the United States Championship at WrestleMania, made a great living, really set myself up for the future, for the rest of my life," he said.

Mahal further stated that working for World Wrestling Entertainment gave him financial stability, which allowed him to do whatever he wanted to. He also thanked the fans for their support.
"It’s given me a sense of financial independence where, now, I can just do whatever I wanna do. Freedom, flexibility, got to travel the world, build amazing relationships, a lot of good memories. And it’s gonna continue now on the independents, just doing things my way. So WWE did not drop the ball. I had a great career, a great time, and, yeah, thank you for all the fans tuning in for all these years." [H/T: WrestleZone]

WWE Hall of Famer believes Jinder Mahal could be headed to AEW
WWE Hall of Famer Booker T believes Jinder Mahal might sign with All Elite Wrestling following his departure from the Stamford-based company.
Speaking on his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker speculated that Jinder Mahal might be headed to AEW. The former World Champion also pointed out that the former United States Champion recently said some kind words about Tony Khan.
"I see Jinder lobbying, man, trying to, you know, perhaps move towards being All Elite. He made some kind comments towards Tony Khan, that's a start. That's a start. That's where you want to start, right? As well as, of course, Jinder Mahal can go anywhere in the world and work."
Jinder Mahal made his first appearance outside the Stamford-based company in GCW on July 19. It remains to be seen if he will indeed join AEW going forward.
