In April 2024, WWE released several superstars right before this year’s Draft amid budget cuts. This list included several names including a superstar whose last match had ended in an embarrassing six-second defeat. Interestingly, the free agent has now asked his fans an important question.
Daniel Vidot, known in WWE by the ring name Xyon, last fought Bron Breakker on March 1, 2024, in a quick loss. Sadly, that was his first and only appearance of the year after his previous match in May 2023. As a free agent now, the pro wrestler posted a tweet on X and has asked his fans to decide his next wrestling destination.
“Where do you want to see me wrestle?”

Xyon started performing under his latest persona at the Stamford-based promotion in 2021, where he had a good initial run of being undefeated in one-on-one bouts. However, his downfall began after his first-ever defeat to Legado del Fantasma leader Santos Escobar. Interestingly, another superstar released at the same time, and a former WWE Champion at that, has sent his fans a message about his pro wrestling comeback.
Jinder Mahal announces freedom from non-compete clause following WWE release
Jinder Mahal was one of the surprising names who were released in April 2024. The Indo-Canadian Superstar had started his year hot and had fought Seth Rollins in a losing effort for the World Heavyweight Championship. On July 18, Mahal posted a tweet on X and declared that he was no longer bound by the company’s 90-day non-competing clause.
“Hindered no more. 90 days are up 🚨,” wrote Mahal.
Notably, the former champion has already been booked for a match against Kevin Ku on Black Label Pro on July 26. Following this, Jinder Mahal will fight alongside AEW’s Satnam Singh on August 17, 2024, at AAA’s Triplemania XXXII.
Mahal will be using a new ring name, Raj Dhesi, which is stylized around his original name Yuvraj Singh Dhesi. It would be interesting to see how he and Xyon fare as indie wrestlers.
