WWE legend Shawn Michaels currently serves as Senior Vice President of Talent Development Creative and oversees the NXT brand. Recently, Dijak who announced his departure from the Stamford-based promotion a month ago spoke about his experience working with The Heartbreak Kid.
On June 28, Dijak announced his exit from World Wrestling Entertainment after the company did not negotiate a new contract with him. He has already debuted on the independent circuit.
The 37-year-old star was initially a part of the villainous Retribution faction under the ring name T-Bar. After the Mustafa Ali-led faction's two-year run on the main roster between 2020 and 2022 under Vince McMahon's regime, he was repackaged as Dijak and sent back to NXT.
During an appearance on INSIGHT with Chris Van Vliet, the former superstar was asked to share his two cents on Shawn Michaels' leadership of the white-and-gold brand. Dijak praised the two-time Hall of Famer, saying that he felt heard and valued when pitching creative ideas during his overall career with the Stamford-based promotion.

Shawn Michaels praises up-and-coming WWE Superstar
This year has been a rollercoaster for Trick Williams under The Heartbreak Kid's regime on the developmental brand. He defeated Ilja Dragunov in April 2024 to become the NXT Champion before losing the title to Ethan Page at the Heatwave Premium Live Event earlier this month.
Speaking to Sports Illustrated, Shawn Michaels heavily praised Trick Williams for his current run and predicted a bright future for the 30-year-old.
"Trick has an incredibly bright future. He’s amazing to work with on a day-to-day basis. He’s so receptive. He’s one of the hottest things in the business as a whole, but he’s still a humble kid working and digging to get better every day. I really respect that," Michaels said.
Only time will tell what the two-time WWE Hall of Famer has in store for fans ahead of preparing young NXT talents for the main roster.
