WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio revealed his big doubt about Dominik Mysterio. However, his son proved him wrong.

Dominik Mysterio debuted on WWE television a couple of years ago with his father, Rey Mysterio, by his side. The duo soon experienced success by becoming the SmackDown Tag Team Champions. However, their life changed forever during their feud with The Judgment Day.

Dominik turned on his father at Clash at the Castle and joined The Judgment Day. Since then, he has wasted no opportunity to take shots at his father. He even attacked him at his home. The two even competed against each other on a few occasions. After this change in character, Dominik became one of the biggest heels in professional wrestling. Every time he gets on the mic to talk, fans constantly boo him out of the building.

Over the years, Dominik has shown a lot of growth and even exceeded his own limitations. He became an even bigger heel by turning on Rhea Ripley at SummerSlam and aligning himself with Liv Morgan.

During a recent interview with the NotSam Wrestling podcast, Rey Mysterio explained that he had some doubts about whether his son could pull off being a heel, but his wife was confident in her son's abilities.

"Me, personally, I never saw him as the bad guy, I never saw him as the heel. My wife, despite our differences, saw the complete opposite. She kind of knew and I guess moms know their kids better than the father."

Rey continued to say that he had to let Dominik Mysterio go out on his own so that he could become an even bigger star.

"I’m going to have to say it, I don’t think my son would be doing better if he were by my side. I’m glad I kind of cut the wings off and he’s on his own." [H/T Inside The Ropes]

Jonathan Coachman believes that WWE could book Rhea Ripley vs. Dominik Mysterio with a special stipulation

After being betrayed by Dominik Mysterio, Rhea Ripley has gotten her hands on him a couple of times and even gave him a black eye at Bash in Berlin. This has fans excited at the thought of an intergender match taking place. Dominik Mysterio even mentioned that he is open to facing Rhea.

Speaking on his Behind The Turnbuckle: The Last Word podcast, Jonathan Coachman mentioned that WWE could make the match believable given that both of them are of similar size. He also mentioned that Dirty Dom could add a stipulation that if he wins, Rhea can't face Liv Morgan at Bad Blood.

"Just from perception in the world we live in today, you don't really wanna have a big guy beating up a girl or the perception of beating up the girl. But I think in this instance, Dom said he'd be open to it. And the way that Chyna's matches were put together back in the day with Jeff Jarrett and a lot of those guys was very believable. It has to be believable. And I think that their sizes are similar. I think Rhea is a bada**. And I think that they could do it in such a way that it would be believable. And if Dom wins, Rhea cannot face Liv as the champion at Bad Blood," he said.
