Rey Mysterio speaks highly of major WWE star for facing Dominik Mysterio

Dominik Mysterio has been trying to avoid Liv Morgan while she attempts to seduce him on WWE RAW. Meanwhile, Rey Mysterio spoke highly of Seth Rollins for facing his son in the latter's debut match.

In 2020, Dominik Mysterio stood up against Seth Rollins to protect his father from The Monday Night Messiah's tyranny. Later, Dominik faced Rollins in a one-on-one bout at SummerSlam.

During an appearance on INSIGHT with Chris Van Vliet, Rey Mysterio spoke highly of Seth Rollins for his first-ever match against Dominik Mysterio. He also mentioned that the company could not have picked a better opponent than Rollins for Dominik's debut bout.

"For me, being there, as cool as it was for him being in the ring against Seth Rollins. And I told Seth, if Eddie [Guerrero] would still be around, I would've loved for that match to have happened with Eddie, but I couldn't have picked a better opponent for him or the company couldn't have picked a better opponent for him than Seth Rollins. He's such a general in that ring, man. He's awesome. I enjoyed working with him so much. And, he took care of him [Dominik] and for that, I'll be always thankful to him," Rey said. Rey Mysterio is set to face The Judgment Day's Dominik Mysterio ahead of WWE Money in the Bank 2024

In 2022, Dominik Mysterio embraced his dark side and joined The Judgment Day against his father's and Edge's wishes. 'Dirty' Dom attacked Rey on several occasions on WWE RAW before he was forced to leave the brand.

The two settled their differences at The Showcase of the Immortals last year and eventually went their separate ways. Dominik became a workhorse star on the developmental brand as he captured the NXT North American Championship on two occasions.

Meanwhile, Rey Mysterio captured the United States Championship on WWE SmackDown. Earlier this year, the two reignited their rivalry, and Dominik lost again.

On the latest episode of WWE RAW, Liv Morgan got Dominik Mysterio booked in a one-on-one match against The Master of the 619 for next week. This will be their second televised one-on-one encounter after WrestleMania 39.
