Rhea Ripley is once again the Women's World Champion, and everything seems right. She isn't the only one to become a new champion, and she broke her silence by revealing a new nickname and a "partner."
All three of the major WWE Women's Championships changed hands between the 3 and 7 of January. On the first SmackDown of the year, Tiffany Stratton cashed in her Money in the Bank briefcase to become WWE Women's Champion. On the RAW on Netflix Premiere, Rhea Ripley defeated Liv Morgan to recapture the Women's World Championship. And on NXT: New Year's Evil tonight, Giulia toppled off the impressive prodigy Roxanne Perez to become the new NXT Women's Championship.
Although the photo was posted before Giulia became the champion, it would've made for a great shot. Either way, Rhea Ripley broke her silence and referred to herself and Tiffany Stratton as "Strapley," seemingly teasing a new nickname.
"Strapley with the straps! #andNEW," she wrote.
Of course, Ripley and Stratton are likely to interact little to no on television. They're on two separate brands in two separate stories, and the only time they crossed paths was a few months ago in the build-up to Crown Jewel when neither of them was champion.
Ripley's relentless pursuit led to her finally recapturing the title, while Stratton outsmarted the entire SmackDown Women's division to have what can only be considered one of the best cash-ins of all time, regardless of gender.
It will be interesting to see what happens if the two champions cross paths again.
