Rikishi sends a message in tribute to Afa Anoa'i after his death

Following the death of Afa Anoa'i, Rikishi paid tribute to the Anoa'i family legend with a message on X (Twitter). Afa Anoa'i passed away on August 16, 2024, at the age of 81.

Over the last few months, Afa had been suffering from health issues. He was one half of the legendary tag team, The Wild Samoans, alongside the late Sika. On social media, Afa's son, Samu, confirmed his passing.

On X (Twitter), Rikishi paid tribute to Afa with a message and sent condolences to his uncle.

Roman Reigns also reacted to Afa Anoa'i's death

On social media, Roman Reigns reacted to Afa Anoa'i's death. The Original Tribal Chief thanked everyone for sending in their support and condolences.

He also mentioned Afa and Sika reuniting in heaven. Reigns tweeted:

"Our family has suffered another great loss with the passing of my uncle and WWE Hall of Famer, Gataivasā Afa Amituana'i Anoa'i. We thank everyone for their support and are comforted by the fact that he now rests in peace. Afa and my father, Pola’ivao Leati Sika Anoa’I were loving brothers, the greatest tag team of their generation, and now they’re reunited together in heaven. Rest in Power Wild Samoans."

Afa and Sika's last appearance on WWE television was back in 2020 at the Hell in a Cell premium live event. Following Reigns' victory over Jey Uso in an "I Quit" Hell in a Cell Match, Afa and Sika greeted Reigns and put the Ula Fala on him.

Reigns is currently involved in a storyline with Solo Sikoa and the new Bloodline. On this week's edition of SmackDown, The Original Tribal Chief was put through the announcer's table by the new Bloodline.

At the SummerSlam premium live event, Reigns returned to confront Sikoa and cost him his match against Cody Rhodes, helping The American Nightmare retain the Undisputed WWE Championship.
