Wrestling legend Rikishi recently discussed a potential heel turn for Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes. The American Nightmare has become the poster boy of the Stamford-based promotion since knocking Roman Reigns off his perch at WrestleMania XL.

Despite being one of the most over-stars of this era, some fans and veterans alike believe Cody Rhodes gives the impression of a heel. He has even been described as a "politician," largely because of his larger-than-life personality. Rhodes wears fancy suits every time he's in the ring for a segment and owns a tour bus, which is considered as the traits of a heel character in the eyes of old-school fans.

Speaking on his Off The Top podcast, Rikishi rated Cody Rhodes' run as Undisputed WWE Champion out of 10 and said he's trying so hard to be the face of the company:

“I think it’s a six. He’s trying so hard. To be a babyface champion of the company, that’s a lot of pressure. It’s a lot of work, you know, shaking hands, kissing babies and all that stuff. In the meantime, you got so much responsibility on your back being the face of the company. You’re trying to be the best role model and champion during that time," he said.

The Samoan Stinker thinks The American Nightmare could thrive more as a heel. Rikishi said Cody Rhodes' personality reminds him of Ted DiBiase aka The Million Dollar Man:

"Cody’s a great worker, but for me, I just feel he can be a better heel. I feel that. He can be a hell of a heel. He’s that guy with the suave look, and he’s a white boy. C’mon. He’s got the suits on. It’s almost like a Million Dollar Man type of vibe, a new era Million Dollar Man, just that heat seeker, you know, ‘When I tell you to do something, do it," he added. What's next for Cody Rhodes in WWE?

Cody Rhodes was last seen in action when he and Roman Reigns teamed up to defeat The Bloodline's Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu in a tag team match at WWE Bad Blood. His rivalry with The Bloodline appears to have been put on hold. However, The Rock's return has set the stage for a blockbuster WrestleMania program.

In the meantime, The American Nightmare has a lot to deal with. He will face Gunther for the new Crown Jewel Championship on November 2.

Besides that, Cody Rhodes has a disgruntled Kevin Owens to take care of. The Prizefighter felt betrayed after his friend joined forces with Roman Reigns. The situation escalated last week when Owens attacked Orton backstage in a similar way he did to Rhodes at Bad Blood.

A match between the two former friends could likely be on the cards for the WWE Survivor Series: WarGames, which will take place in Kevin Owens' home country of Canada.
