WWE Hall of Famer Rob Van Dam recently teased showing up at a major premium live event. Although the veteran has not wrestled for the Stamford-based company since 2014, he has made several appearances over the years.
In one of his most recent television appearances, the 54-year-old featured in a backstage segment alongside NXT General Manager Ava during the October 29, 2024, edition of the developmental brand. RVD also caught up with former locker room mates Bully Ray, Shawn Michaels, Terry Taylor, and William Regal at the show. The former WWE Champion has now teased his WrestleMania 41 appearance.
Speaking on a recent edition of his 1 Of A Kind With RVD podcast, Rob Van Dam noted how times have changed, referencing Travis Scott smoking while accompanying Jey Uso in his entrance on the RAW Netflix Premiere. With WWE heading to Nevada for WrestleMania 41, the six-time Intercontinental Champion joked that his being a Las Vegas resident with marijuana could lead to him showing up on The Grandest Stage of Them All.
"That's awesome that in 2025 that Travis Scott was smoking a blunt on Monday Night RAW. I think that's super cool. Who knows what's coming next? But if I understand right, I think I’ve heard that WrestleMania is on 4/20 this year. [...] I happen to live in Las Vegas. [...] I got w*ed," RVD said. [From 33:05 onwards]

Rob Van Dam shares his take on fans booing Hulk Hogan on WWE RAW
Hulk Hogan was booed out of Intuit Dome by the LA crowd during his appearance on the RAW Netflix Premiere. In the same 1 Of A Kind With RVD podcast, Rob Van Dam shared his take on the crowd's reaction to The Hulkster.
While talking about Hulk Hogan's popularity, RVD noted that the former World Champion has been going through cycles of generating heat before cooling off for several years. Rob Van Dam added he did not see any big deal in Hogan getting booed by the crowd.
"Hogan, he’s controversial and quite possibly the most recognizable celebrity on the planet, so I get where that’s hot, but they light him up, and they let him cool down, light him up, lights himself up, he cools down. He goes through cycles always and always seems to dig himself back out mostly and then bury himself again. [...] I don’t see how it’s that big of a deal. I'm confused by it a little bit," he said.
Hulk Hogan allegedly believes his political views might have led to the LA crowd booing him. Hence, the WWE Hall of Famer would reportedly be more mindful about choosing the cities for his future appearances.
