This decade was predominantly run by the Anoa'i family thus far in the wrestling business, thanks to former Undisputed WWE Champion Roman Reigns. They are still part of some of the more elaborate wrestling stories told in 2024.

One of the family's notable tag teams from the previous century was The Wild Samoans. It included Roman's father Sika and the latter's brother Afa Anoa'i. Afa was hospitalized recently due to heart attacks and pneumonia.

His daughter Vale Anoa'i recently took to X/Twitter to share an update. His condition has vastly improved after two back and heart surgeries. She informed that Afa Anoa'i is ready to be discharged from the hospital.

"Happy to have spent several hours with Dad today. He has been through SO much in the last few months, TWO back surgeries and heart surgery, four stints in rehabilitation facilities, he is very ready to come home this coming week. Still the strongest man in the world," Vale Anoa'i wrote.

Check out the pictures she shared below:

Afa Anoa'i made an appearance on WWE television around the time Roman's "Head of the Table" angle commenced during the pandemic. The Wild Samoans coronated him as The Tribal Chief at the 2020 Hell in a Cell Premium Live Event.

What is next for Roman Reigns after his Undisputed WWE Title reign ended at 1,316 days?

For some, Roman Reigns was holding the Undisputed WWE Championship hostage as he became a part-time wrestler mid-way through his reign. The fans had begun scrutinizing him ever since he went over Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 39. But then this year he laid down for The American Nightmare, who has taken over WWE as the new face of the promotion.

Absence makes the heart grow fonder, as they say, which applies to Roman Reigns, especially after Solo Sikoa started recruiting members outside the Anoa'i family into The Bloodline and began calling himself the new Tribal Chief. Sikoa's heel run had come to a point where fans were literally chanting "We Want Roman" on SmackDown a few weeks ago.

This led wrestling veteran Jim Cornette to believe that Roman's next storyline is set in stone already. On a recent episode of his podcast The Jim Cornette Experience, he took the aforementioned segment into account:

"The story was that [Paul] was there at the behest of the new Tribal Chief Solo to make the statements - the double proclamation that he's setting the records straight, until Roman's return, Solo is The Head of the Table. And then the fans start chanting 'We want Roman'. They're calling for this already. This is a bird's nest on the ground. They've got it made. They don't even have to climb into it."

Roman Reigns was last seen at WrestleMania XL alongside Paul Heyman. There is no information yet regarding his return date, but we will keep you updated.
