A WWE personality recently pitched the idea for Roman Reigns to potentially have a dream showdown with a top star. Sam Roberts thinks that the inclusion of Jacob Fatu into The Bloodline could lead to a "face-off" between him and The Tribal Chief upon the latter's much-awaited return.
While reports of Fatu's WWE debut were swirling around for weeks on the internet, things finally came to fruition on this week's SmackDown. Just when it looked like Solo Sikoa could be taken out by Cody Rhodes, Kevin Owens, and Randy Orton, The Samoan Warewolf appeared out of nowhere and took all three of them out by himself.
The 33-year-old star instantly made an instant impact with his debut and further solidified The Bloodline's position as the most dangerous stable in wrestling.
On his Notsam Wrestling podcast, Sam Roberts spoke about how this has opened the door for WWE to pit Jacob Fatu against Roman Reigns.
"If this is played right, I think what you've got is the inevitability of Roman Reigns returning to try to get that power back from Solo Sikoa, to try to stop Solo Sikoa's absolute reign of terror that he's been on, but in order to stop Solo Sikoa what we need to do is see that face-off between Jacob Fatu and Roman Reigns," said Sam Roberts. Roman Reigns could take on Solo Sikoa at SummerSlam 2024
Even though Reigns is not on WWE TV currently, his shadow looms large during the backstage interactions between The Bloodline. He was even mentioned on this week's SmackDown when Solo Sikoa claimed that The Tribal Chief would never return. However, if recent reports are to be believed, Sikoa could soon be proven wrong.
As per Xero News, Reigns' much-anticipated comeback is just around the corner. It was noted that he could return in time for SummerSlam 2024, where he's rumored to have a blockbuster match with Solo Sikoa. Whatever the case, the recent developments in The Bloodline saga have certainly hooked the viewers and the former Universal Champion's return would only add more dramatic tension.
