Roman Reigns is being advertised for a major upcoming WWE show following his return. The Head of the Table returned during the final moments of SummerSlam after months away.

Cody Rhodes defeated Roman Reigns in the main event of WrestleMania XL Night Two to capture the Undisputed WWE Championship. Reigns spent several months away following the loss and Solo Sikoa named himself the new Tribal Chief during Roman's hiatus. The former champion leveled Sikoa with a Superman Punch and a Spear at the premium live event, allowing The American Nightmare to retain his title.

On WWE's official website, Reigns is now being advertised to appear on the September 13 edition of the blue brand at the Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, Washington. It will be the first episode of SmackDown on the USA Network following the promotion's deal with Fox coming to an end.

Jim Cornette on why Roman Reigns and Jacob Fatu didn't confront each other at WWE SummerSlam

Wrestling legend Jim Cornette shared his thoughts on Roman Reigns' return and the lack of a confrontation with Jacob Fatu.

Speaking on the Jim Cornette Experience podcast, the 62-year-old noted that The Samoan Werewolf getting taken out would have negatively impacted his aura. Cornette noted that the company was pushing Fatu and there was no need to have him be taken down by Reigns at the premium live event. He also praised the promotion for handling this situation the way they did.

"There was a need because of what was gonna happen next for Jacob Fatu to be rendered incompass mentus. Rendered irrelevant there. They couldn't, with the push they're giving him and the build they're giving him, have somebody else take him out, that would destroy his aura of danger and potential invincibility. But they couldn't have him up and about for what was about to go on and what is the perfect compromise? He hurts himself in the act of hurting someone else and then he can't get back in and interfere in what's gonna go on. So, I say bravo," Jim Cornette said. [13:50 - 14:40]

Paul Heyman has not returned to WWE television since he was attacked by The Bloodline on the June 28 edition of SmackDown in Madison Square Garden. It will be interesting to see if The Wiseman returns alongside Roman Reigns in the weeks ahead.
