Wrestling journalist and Sportskeeda senior editor Bill Apter recently spoke about Roman Reigns on SmackDown. The Original Tribal Chief was a major part of this week's show.
Roman was in a bad mood at the beginning of the show as he refused to acknowledge Sami Zayn as part of his family and didn't clearly apologize to Jey Uso. He blew his gasket backstage, leaving him alone for the final segment as he walked out to confront Solo Sikoa and the rest of The Bloodline. However, The Usos and Sami had Roman's back as they drove off Solo and his henchmen after they attacked him.
On a recent episode of Smack Talk, Apter mentioned that he was slightly thrown off by the opening segment. However, the journalist felt it all came together in the show's latter half. He pointed out that the angle kept him engaged throughout and got him excited about what lay ahead.
"I didn't know where they were going with it. It was confusing me for a minute. After that whole confrontation, backstage with Roman Reigns just kind of blowing off Jimmy and Jey and told them to get lost. He was going to be the lone ranger again, the lone Bloodline man. It confused me, but it was compelling because it made me want to wait for the end of the show to see what was gonna happen," [From 6:15 - 6:48]
