LA Knight is set to challenge Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at Crown Jewel 2023, and former head writer Vince Russo believes that a "BS mentality" will cause the creative team to book his loss in the match.
Reigns recently returned to SmackDown after nearly two months of absence and crossed paths with the fastest-rising SmackDown Superstar in history in LA Knight. The Megastar was feuding with The Bloodline in Roman Reigns' absence, which set up his title feud with The Tribal Chief.
Vince Russo discussed the upcoming championship match on the latest edition of Sportskeeda Wrestling's Legion of RAW, where one fan noted that a potential loss for LA Knight at Crown Jewel would "ruin" his momentum. Russo agreed with the prediction and added that Knight could be a victim of a "BS" booking mentality.

He insisted that WWE would have Knight lose the title match because they are convinced a good match against Reigns would be enough to elevate him regardless of the result.
Vince Russo was quoted as saying:

Roman Reigns set to return for huge contract signing on WWE SmackDown
WWE has booked a massive contract signing for the upcoming edition of SmackDown. Roman Reigns missed last week's show, but he will be back on the blue brand this Friday for the official contract signing ahead of his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship match against LA Knight.
It is expected that Solo Sikoa and Jimmy Uso will make their presence known by unleashing an ambush on LA Knight during this segment. However, the latter may have John Cena in his corner as the 16-time World Champion has played a massive role in Knight's career-defining title opportunity against Reigns.
