Both WWE and AEW reportedly want to sign Tessa Blanchard

According to a report from WrestlingInc, former IMPACT World Champion Tessa Blanchard is in talks with both AEW and WWE. At the time of Blanchard’s release from IMPACT Wrestling, there were concerning reports of her backstage behavior towards other wrestlers including the incident with La Rosa Negra which took place in Japan.

There had been some reports that stated that AEW wasn’t interested in signing Blanchard because of the aforementioned issues. However, the WrestingInc report stated that this was not true and that both AEW and WWE were vying to sign her.

Blanchard is currently taking some time off from the ring following her marriage to Mexican star DAGA earlier this year.

Blanchard had previously competed in WWE as a part of the first Mae Young Classic where she was eliminated in the first round by Kairi Sane. Blanchard had also appeared on an episode of NXT, prior to her participation in the Mae Young Classic, losing to Alexa Bliss in a singles match.
