Two potential future WWE recruits, according to rumors, are apparently held in very high regard by Vince Russo. The veteran recently talked about his experiences working with the two names.

The stars in question are the two men collectively known as the Motor City Machine Guns, Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin. Over the last few days, rumors that the two may be heading to WWE have been making the rounds. While nothing has been confirmed yet, many of the fans are very excited to see them in action in the promotion.

Speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling's The Wrestling Outlaws show, Vince Russo recounted his time working with the two stars when they were extremely young, over two decades ago, when he felt they were much ahead of their time. He also stated that the duo was probably very well suited to AEW.

"I could see them going to AEW in an absolute heartbeat. But ya man I worked with those guys when they were very very young. Two very very talented guys... They were cool bro. They were very very young when I was working with them, 'cause man bro I am going back to, I started in TNA in 2002. So that was like 22 years ago. Ya no they were very young, they were Scott D'Amore's guys. Scott D'Amore brought a lot of those guys in and those guys were probably a little bit ahead of their time," said Russo. [1:18 onwards]

Vince Russo recently talked about another group in WWE

While it remains to be seen whether the Motor City Machine Guns will join WWE and how they will be booked if it happens, Vince Russo believes the creative department has made some big mistakes in booking another group, The Hurt Business.

Speaking on another episode of The Wrestling Outlaws about a potential reunion, the veteran said that the promotion had a chance to revive the popular stable but it did not. Since the group was founded during the height of the "Black Lives Matter" movement, he felt there were several misconceptions among people of other races regarding it, which needed rectification.

Russo felt that reviving the group, and telling the story of the BLM movement and thereby educating people would have been a great storyline, with MVP leading the way, but WWE ignored it completely.

"This is where it was a miss from the get-go. Bro, they started The Hurt Business during the height of Black Lives Matter. Now, here is the thing. Chris, you know better than anybody, especially for white people; there was a great misunderstanding of what Black Lives Matter really was. That was the perfect opportunity to tell that story and to explain that story, and to educate people... And who would have been better than MVP? They totally ignored it," the WWE veteran said.
