Vince Russo revealed his recent conversation with Samantha Irvin
Following Samantha Irvin's WWE exit, Vince Russo spoke highly of her. He recently revealed details of his conversation with the 35-year-old.
On Sportskeeda's The Wrestling Outlaws, Russo revealed exchanging messages with Irvin. The veteran writer claimed that he would've allowed her to explore other roles in the company besides being a ring announcer if he were in power.
"I exchanged DMs with her yesterday because she thanked me for my comments. I said if I was working there when she was a ring announcer and she was so good at ring announcing and she'd come to me and say, 'Hey Vince, I would like to be a manager,' I would have made that happen."
In April 2021, Irvin signed with WWE. She gained popularity among fans for her unique style of announcing stars' names. Her exit led to Lilian Garcia's return.
Earlier this year, Irvin's partner, Ricochet, left WWE and signed with AEW. Currently, there is no confirmation on whether Irvin will join the former WWE United States Champion in the Tony Khan-led promotion.
