Sami Zayn shared his thoughts on Kevin Owens using a move banned in WWE to take out Cody Rhodes. The Prizefighter used Package Piledriver at Saturday Night's Main Event to put The American Nightmare on the shelf.

Kevin Owens has been on a warpath since Cody Rhodes teamed up with Roman Reigns for his match at Bad Blood. The former Universal Champion took out Randy Orton a few weeks back with a Piledriver. He did the same with The American Nightmare at Saturday Night's Main Event, this time with a Package Piledriver, which has been banned in WWE for a long time.

Speaking about his former partner's actions on the Battleground Podcast, Sami Zayn noted that it was "pretty crazy" to see someone use a Package Piledriver in WWE. The former Intercontinental Champion also stated that that he has taken that move a lot of times so it was like seeing a ghost from the past:

"I mean, pretty crazy to see the Package Piledriver on WWE TV, first and foremost. I feel like I used to take that move a lot. My neck is not so good nowadays, and it's probably better that I haven't taken that move in a long time," he said. "It was almost like seeing a ghost. You know what? I mean, it was very strange, like a memoir of a past life. For me, personally, just seeing that was kind of a bit of a surreal moment." [H/T: Fightful]

Kevin Owens is likely to come after Sami Zayn after his feud with the Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes

Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn have been frenemies for the entirety of their careers. While the duo separated on a good note, they are once again likely to be at odds as Zayn rejoined The OG Bloodline which won't sit well with The Prizefighter.

Owens has even sent a warning to his former tag partner a few weeks back, noting that he will come after him eventually.

Kevin Owens took the Winged Eagle WWE Championship after putting Cody Rhodes on the shelf and will also be defending it at the company's upcoming live events. He is expected to feud with The American Nightmare once the latter makes his return.

Sami Zayn, meanwhile, has been involved in a program with Drew McIntyre who also is frustrated with the Honorary Uce rejoining forces with Roman Reigns.
