Sami Zayn defeats Gunther's long-time friend on WWE RAW; gets confronted by the World Heavyweight Champion

On the latest episode of WWE RAW, Sami Zayn collided with Imperium's Ludwig Kaiser in a singles match. He was confronted by World Heavyweight Champion Gunther after the bout, who responded to his challenge.

The Master Strategist and the heel star traded punches after the bell rang, and the latter sent the former into the ringpost and the steel steps at ringside. He then pushed the former Intercontinental Champion into the timekeeper's area. Back in the ring, Sami planted Ludwig with a sunset flip powerbomb and got a two-count.

He then hit the exploder and tried to go for a Helluva Kick, but Kaiser escaped to the floor. Ludwig Kaiser slammed Sami Zayn's face onto the step and nailed him with a running dropkick. Zayn beat the referee's count as he entered the ring with one second to spare.

Sami Zayn nailed Ludwig with a clothesline and attempted the Blue Thunderbomb but was unsuccessful. He then delivered another exploder and went for the Helluva Kick but ran into an enziguri. In the end, Zayn hit a suplex and finally performed the Helluva Kick to win the match via pinfall.

After the bout, Gunther stormed to the ring and acted like he was going to accept Sami's challenge for the World Heavyweight Championship. However, he rejected the challenge again.
