Sami Zayn has been a major name on RAW on the road to WWE SummerSlam. However, wrestling veteran Vince Russo has not been impressed with the Intercontinental Champion's display over the last few weeks.

Sami has been embroiled in a feud with Bron Breakker over the last couple of months. While the former Bloodline member managed to defeat the rising star at Money in the Bank, Breakker continued to target him. The duo are set for a rematch at SummerSlam after Bron defeated Ilja Dragunov in a #1 contenders match on RAW.

Bron Breakker also laid out Sami Zayn after the latter's tag team match in the main event. However, Vince Russo was impressed with the champion's selling of the Spear, stating that this is the second time Sami has messed up while showing the impact of Breakker's finisher.

Here's what the former WWE head writer had to say on Sportskeeda Wrestling's Legion of RAW:

"This is the second time Sami Zayn did not make the Spear look like a killer move. The first time was outside of the ring when he tried to sidestep it and this one looked so weak. I think it did more harm than good for Bron Breakker. Either he doesn’t wanna take it bro, or he knows Bron is going over at SummerSlam and he is playing boo boo face." [35:20 onwards]

Sami Zayn won the Intercontinental Championship at WWE WrestleMania 40 where he ended Gunther's unbeaten run. However, with Bron Breakker's rapid ascend, the former Bloodline member's title run looks to be in its twilight phase.
