Former WWE writer Vince Russo has claimed that Sami Zayn might be falling in love with Jey Uso following RAW. It's unclear if Russo is joking or not, but he has commented about the possibility of a story twice now.
On Monday's episode of RAW, Jey was attacked backstage and needed some medical attention. Zayn was furious and even got into the face of General Manager Adam Pearce. He even thought that it was Seth Rollins, but it could have been Drew McIntyre, who attacked him at the end of the show with a Claymore.
Speaking in a recent video on Jonathan Coachman's Behind The Turnbuckle channel on YouTube, Russo claimed that Zayn could be in love with Jey based on how he reacted backstage.
"Based on this last Monday’s show, I believe Sami Zayn is in love with Jey Uso. I honestly believe when you are a grown man saying, 'You can't talk to him like that.' Bro, I'm telling you that story is going to develop. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, let's put that out there. I think Sami Zayn is in love with Jey Uso. I'm looking forward to that," Russo said. [42:03 - 42:37]
While Vince Russo could be joking or being sarcastic, he already insinuated the possibility of the storyline on X (fka Twitter).
"Seriously—does Sami Zayn have a crush on Jey Uso? Not that there’s anything wrong with that," Russo tweeted on Monday.
It will be interesting to see if McIntyre will also be revealed as the one who attacked Jey. It would likely lead to him teaming up with Sami to combat The Scottish Warrior.
Jey Uso loves working with Sami Zayn in The Bloodline
Speaking on the Cheap Heat podcast before Survivor Series, Jey Uso was happy to be back working with The Bloodline again. Jey explained that he missed working with everyone and had nothing but praise for Sami Zayn.
"Sami is, like, one of my favorite guys to work with. Also, one of my favorite workers. The way he talks. ..if you pay attention to Sami Zayn, he got skills. The boy got skills. He's an actor; he can work. He's good, he's safe in the ring. I'm very glad he's on my team right now," Jey said.
Jey, Sami, the rest of the OG Bloodline, and CM Punk were victorious at Survivor Series: WarGames against Solo Sikoa's new Bloodline.
