WWE Superstar Sami Zayn shared an emotional message on the first day of the new year. It appears what Zayn has mentioned in his latest social media post is connected to his roots.
Sami Zayn is a Canadian professional wrestler, born Rami Sebei to Syrian parents. His Middle East background has helped boost his popularity in Saudi Arabia, with whom WWE has an extended partnership that commenced in 2018 and will continue in the foreseeable future. The company hosts two large-scale premium live events per year in Riyadh or Jeddah in Saudi Arabia.
Zayn kept his words brief when posting a message on X/Twitter regarding his people, wishing that the upcoming year would be better than the last:
"Praying for my people in 2025," he wrote.
A top AEW star just called one of his colleagues 'spoiled' and 'narcissistic' HERE.
The Underdog from the Underground himself has been a controversial figure in the industry of late because of WWE's heavy reliance on him as a viable contender to other top players in the game. Some personalities consider Zayn inferior with names such as CM Punk, Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes, Drew McIntyre, and Seth Rollins, among others.
WWE RAW is set for Netflix premiere on January 6; where does Sami Zayn fit?
In December 2024, Drew McIntyre returned to WWE RAW and hit the Claymore on Sami Zayn after he lost to Seth Rollins in the show's main event. McIntyre's beef with Zayn was later revealed to be owing to Sami's days in The Bloodline and his reunion with the Samoans.
The Scotsman defeated the OG Bloodline member at Saturday Night's Main Event on December 14 and put him away again a week later on WWE RAW. Whether Zayn manages to get some measure of revenge over his larger opponent bears watching. As of this writing, it appears their program is put on hold as McIntyre will move on to the OG Bloodline's next member.
This week on RAW, General Manager Adam Pearce announced that the former World Heavyweight Champion will face Jey Uso on the flagship show's Netflix premiere episode on January 6, 2025. It is safe to assume Sami Zayn will make his presence felt, considering the way this storyline has progressed in recent weeks.
