WWE Superstar Sami Zayn was absent from last week's edition of Monday Night RAW after facing a massive loss the week prior. The former Bloodline member recently shared a heartbreaking update on social media.
The 40-year-old locked horns with Gunther in a World Heavyweight Championship match on the red brand's show on October 7. Zayn, who ended The Ring General's record-breaking reign as Intercontinental Champion at WrestleMania XL, failed to replicate his success this time. The champion locked in the sleeper hold to retain the title via submission.
Sami Zayn has often shared cryptic social media updates regarding the ongoing Middle East conflict. Many people have lost their homes and loved ones because of it. The Underdog from The Underground took to his X (Twitter) account earlier today to share a heartbreaking picture from an area affected by the war.

WWE veteran claims to be a huge Sami Zayn fan
Sami Zayn is among the most beloved superstars on the WWE roster. Meanwhile, WWE Hall of Famer Eric Bischoff recently revealed that he was a massive fan of the former Intercontinental Champion.
During his appearance on the 83 Weeks podcast earlier this year, Bischoff recalled his collaboration with Sami in 2019. The former RAW General Manager claimed Zayn was fun to work with. He referred to the latter as a very creative performer who understood wrestling psychology and could evoke strong emotions.
"I'm just a massive fan of Sami Zayn. I got to work with Sami a little bit back in 2019, and he's just an amazingly fun guy to work with because he's super creative; I mean, he's a very, very creative guy. I don't know if he learned it naturally; if he was born with the gift, or if he's worked at the gift, or a combination of the two. But he really understands psychology and how to get the most emotion out of a scene, out of a match, or out of a backstage situation. I just think the world of him," he said. [H/T: Wrestling Inc.]
With several wrestling fans expecting Sami to side with the original Bloodline, the loss to Gunther did not come as a surprise. It remains to be seen if Zayn will head over to WWE SmackDown to rejoin Roman Reigns and Jimmy Uso.
