On the latest episode of WWE Monday Night RAW, Sami Zayn competed in a match against Chad Gable. He was attacked by a member of Alpha Academy during the bout, which cost him the match.
After the bell rang, the Intercontinental Champion hit the Olympian with several strikes in the corner and a clothesline. He hit a chop and took out Gable with a clothesline. The latter nailed Zayn with a snap suplex and went for a flying headbutt but missed. Sami Zayn hit more strikes, a clothesline, and went for the Blue Thunderbomb but Chad Gable reversed it into a modified suplex.
Chad distracted the referee, but Maxxine Dupri refused to slap Sami. Gable hit two German suplexes only to be hit with a suplex as well. Later, Akira Tozawa also refused to hit Sami. Chad Gable then told Maxxine Dupri and Tozawa to leave. Otis remained behind, and when he had the opportunity to strike the champion, he refused.
Gable then scolded him and slapped him. The Olympian tried to hit Sami with the IC title belt but Zayn nailed him with an exploder. When he tried to go for the Helluva Kick, Otis attacked Sami Zayn. Chad Gable nailed Sami with a bridging suplex and got the three count.
