WWE has a few ways it could go when Roman Reigns makes his return. One direction is an obvious route: to challenge Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes in a WrestleMania rematch.

It came off as a surprise to many netizens when Dave Meltzer reported that Solo Sikoa is earmarked for the main event of WWE SummerSlam. The new "Tribal Chief" of SmackDown will challenge Cody Rhodes at the event, as per the report. The surprise, and even disappointment to some, is because it looked as though Randy Orton was going to enter into a feud with The American Nightmare.

Nevertheless, Sikoa's potential challenge at The Biggest Party of the Summer sparked speculations online regarding Roman's return, with many believing that Reigns will be back on that very same night itself.

Here are some reactions to the report below:

Roman Reigns unfollowed Solo Sikoa recently on Instagram. Several comments were made speculating that this could be the beginning of a feud between the two Tribal Chiefs.

Cody Rhodes says he will be ready for top WWE star's return

After WrestleMania XL, finally overcoming the obstacles Bloodline threw at him and winning the Undisputed WWE Championship, Cody Rhodes had a visitor on RAW the night after.

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson joined Rhodes in the latter's promo segment. He revealed that he intends to pursue The American Nightmare when he returns to the ring down the line.

Speaking on Esquire, Cody Rhodes discussed about the four Rolex watches made for the main event performers on the grand stage. He had gifted it to them. Rhodes revealed that this is what The Rock had returned to him on the RAW After WrestleMania:

"I don’t want to use the word ‘trouble’, but it spells something brewing in the future. I don’t know with his schedule, if he’s ever going to come back [to wrestling more permanently]. But I do believe he will. And I believe he'll come looking for me. And I'll be right where he left me."

The American Nightmare successfully defended his belt most recently against AJ Styles in an "I Quit" match in Glasgow, Scotland. Where he goes from here on SmackDown—whether Solo Sikoa or Randy Orton is in his not-too-distant future—bears watching.
