Serious doubt cast over longevity of Gunther and his WWE World Heavyweight Championship reign by Bill Apter (Exclusive)

WWE SummerSlam saw Gunther claim a massive win against Damian Priest, becoming the new World Heavyweight Champion. However, Hall of Famer Bill Apter thinks his reign may not last as long as one might think.

After having a record-breaking reign as WWE Intercontinental Champion, The Ring General looks all set to do something similar with RAW's top men's title. He is slated to go up against Randy Orton next in Berlin, which does not appear to be an easy match.

According to Bill Apter, Gunther's personality may be classy but too bland to remain a world champion for a long time. On Sportskeeda Wrestling's UnSKripted this week, Apter talked about his perception of The Ring General.

"Gunther is a classy champion. I don't necessarily know how long that can last because he's got (...) it's a bland personality, but classy," he said. [16:55 onwards]

As of now, fans will have to stay tuned to see whether Gunther will retain his WWE World Heavyweight Title against the legendary Randy Orton, who is known for his ferocity and in-ring expertise.
