Former WWE head writer Vince Russo spoke about Seth Rollins' character on TV. The star is one of the top babyfaces of the RAW roster at the moment.
This week on RAW, Rollins confronted the World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest. While the two were exchanging verbal barbs, Finn Balor attacked the challenger but was stopped by his Judgment Day stablemate. Seth used his opening to attack Balor but got a South of Heaven from Priest.
This week on Sportskeeda Wrestling's Legion of RAW, Russo commented on The Visionary's character work. He pointed out that there was never an explanation for what led Seth Rollins to adopt his current gimmick. He felt there should have been an interview or segment that would explain more about Rollins' wardrobe choices.
"You could say he's eccentric. But you don't know why. So the reason why you're saying he's eccentric is because you're looking for an explanation of why he dresses the way he does. You really don't know so you're trying to figure out why. I don't know, he comes out in these cosplay costumes. We've never done an interview or anything like that where he's into cosplay. I mean we've never talked about that. We've never talked about that."
Russo added that Seth Rollins always had these elaborate entrance gears but there was no explanation about the inspiration behind his wardrobe choices.
"He spends a lot of money on these costumes that he comes out in all the time. He sings along with the crowd like he's the maestro and it's the same not over phrase." [From 20:50 onwards]
Seth Rollins will now focus on winning back the World Heavyweight Championship he lost at WrestleMania 40. He will meet Damian Priest at Money in the Bank this Saturday with the fate of the world title hanging in the balance.
