Seth Rollins recently addressed a top WWE star winning a major championship at WrestleMania 40. The Visionary revealed he was jealous of the aforementioned talent for getting special treatment from the Stamford-based company.

On Night One of WrestleMania 40, Cody Rhodes teamed up with Rollins to fight Roman Reigns and The Rock in a tag team match. However, they suffered defeat as The Final Boss pinned The American Nightmare. The following night, The Visionary helped Rhodes finish his story and defeat the OTC to capture the Undisputed WWE Championship.

In a recent interview with Chris Van Vliet on Insight, Rollins discussed how he felt about Rhodes winning the title. He said that although he felt joy, he was also jealous.

The former World Heavyweight Champion pointed out that Rhodes received special treatment as the top guy in the Stamford-based company, just like Reigns did for several years. Meanwhile, he felt he wanted to be in the same position, but the promotion's executives seemingly never viewed him in the same way they did with the OTC and The American Nightmare.

Will John Cena beat Ric Flair's record? A former WCW Champion thinks so HERE

"I had a different experience watching Cody win the title. I felt joy, probably a little bit of jealousy. But I don't know, I've never really been the guy that's been handed the ball that way. For the last 10 years, it's been Roman for the most part, and then Cody comes back and he kind of gets that treatment as well. I've always felt like I wanted to be that person, and I could be that guy, but it just wasn't for me in the eyes of the people who were making those decisions. So there was this joy and this happiness that we kind of crossed a proverbial finish line, certainly a little bit of professional jealousy as well." [H/T: chrisvanvliet.com]

Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes previously discussed his relationship with Seth Rollins

Following his return to WWE in 2022, Cody Rhodes had three big matches against Seth Rollins. Despite being former rivals, the two formed an alliance heading into WrestleMania 40.

In an interview with The Pivot Podcast, The American Nightmare discussed his relationship with The Visionary. He disclosed that Rollins had been his guy since his comeback despite their past.

"After you wrestle a match with a completely torn pec against somebody like that in a dangerous setting like Hell in a Cell, no matter what, you have to leave with a love for him. Even to this day I'll still say I don't like Seth but (…) so my bus at WrestleMania catches fire outside the Lincoln Financial [Field]. Huge fireball on top of my bus, I'm certain it's going to burn down. The first bus I ran to was his. Like a little kid I was just watching through the window as these men tried to put out a fire. He's been my guy since I came back to WWE, I love Seth." [H/T: WrestleTalk]

It will be interesting to see whether Rollins and Rhodes share the ring again soon.
