Seth Rollins got a brutal reality check on RAW. It went to the point where a character change was teased. In a tense segment, he was called out for his behavior by someone he considered an ally, setting up a rematch after over a year.
This week on RAW, CM Punk opened the show, teasing what the favor Paul Heyman promised him was, as well as his future, pointing to WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas. Seth Rollins confronted him and the verbal spat quickly turned physical as Rollins shoved CM Punk. Sami Zayn and Jey Uso were quick to stop them. Jey took Punk away with other WWE officials.
In the ring, Sami Zayn and Seth Rollins had a verbal back-and-forth, with Rollins expressing his disappointment at Sami. Rollins said they have a much longer history than he does with either Jey Uso or CM Punk. 40-year-old Sami Zayn made it clear to The Visionary that he didn't want Punk on his team, but he was willing to take his help. He reminded Rollins that he was asked about the WarGames spot twice and he said no both times.
After Rollins expressed his disdain towards the "monster" Roman Reigns, Sami Zayn gave him a brutal reality check - that he created that monster when he hit him with a chair to the back in June 2014.
Seth Rollins had a scathing response, telling Sami Zayn he did the exact same thing, referencing the 2023 Royal Rumble. The misunderstanding reached its peak, leading up to Sami Zayn telling Rollins that he could take his frustrations out on him in a match on RAW.
They last faced each other on November 6 last year, making it 391 days since their last match.
It seems like the wheels are turning for The Visionary.
