Seth Rollins reveals when he learned about recent WWE return

Seth Rollins has recently opened up about his surprise return to WWE RAW. The Visionary missed a couple of months of action with a torn meniscus following WrestleMania XL.

The 38-year-old has returned from injury and will be challenging for the World Heavyweight Championship at Money in the Bank next month. In a recent interview with Matt Aguilar of ComicBook Nation, Rollins shared that he had a few weeks' notice about returning to RAW.

"A little fluctuation. I had a few weeks’ notice [that I’d be coming back to TV]. We kind of looked at the timeline of the injury and looked at the stories and where I fell back into place. You never really know, you never know how things are gonna go. But, the top of the card here on RAW is pretty stacked," he said.

The veteran added that the roster on RAW is pretty stacked, but Damian Priest needed an opponent so he took the opportunity.

"The time felt right and coming off a huge event overseas, Clash at the Castle in Scotland, it was ripe for the picking. Damian Priest needed a challenger so I hopped right in," he added. [H/T: Post Wrestling]

Last night on the red brand, two stipulations were added to the World Heavyweight Championship match at the premium live event next month. If Seth Rollins loses, he can no longer challenge for the title while Damian Priest is the champion. If Priest loses, he will be forced to leave The Judgment Day.

Vince Russo criticizes Seth Rollins following WWE RAW

Former WWE writer Vince Russo has claimed that he does not understand Seth Rollins' character following the former champion's return.

During the latest edition of Sportskeeda Wrestling's Legion of RAW show, Russo discussed Seth Rollins' gimmick on WWE television. He noted that the fans sing his song, but he doesn't understand what else there is to his character.

"He comes out, they're singing the song and I'm asking myself this while I'm watching the television. And I'm still asking myself this question, 'What is Seth Rollins' character?' I still don't know what his [...] I know they sing to his song. I don't know what his character is, bro." [From 49:29 to 49:52]

Seth Rollins was the inaugural World Heavyweight Champion and captured the title by defeating AJ Styles at Night of Champions 2023. It will be interesting to see if he can win the title once again at WWE Money in the Bank next month in Toronto.
