Seth Rollins was out in Wichita to respond to CM Punk. In a scathing promo, despite the crowd fully supporting Punk, he revealed the reason why their friendship ended in the first place.
Last week on RAW, we saw another tense segment between CM Punk and Seth Rollins. For the first time, things got physical as Rollins shoved Punk down. In a response this week, CM Punk said that Rollins approached him when he was 16 years old, asking to be trained for free. Punk said the entitlement transferred into the adult version of Rollins while stating that he "shielded" him from getting fired.
Seth Rollins hit back and revealed that while he idolized Punk when he left WWE in 2014, he tried checking in with the Best in the World and got no response, nor did any of Punk's other friends.
However, he added that Punk tarnishing WWE's name at every given opportunity is what broke the straw on the camel's back. Rollins even took a shot at Punk in the end, stating that he did something his rival could never do - headline WrestleMania.
He was interrupted by Sami Zayn, who apologized for accusing him of attacking Jey Uso last week. He set up a match against Drew McIntyre at Saturday Night's Main Event before McIntyre came out and hit him with a Claymore Kick.
For Rollins, it was a relatively satisfying promo and segment.
