Seth Rollins recently addressed his time as part of one of WWE's legendary factions, The Shield. He revealed who was initially the weakest link in the group.
In 2012, The Visionary, Roman Reigns, and Jon Moxley (FKA Dean Ambrose) debuted on the main roster as The Shield. The faction had massive success for nearly two years before they disbanded in 2014 following Seth Rollins' betrayal of his teammates. While Moxley left the Stamford-based company in 2019, Reigns and Rollins continue to perform in the promotion. However, they are now on-screen enemies.
In a recent interview with Chris Van Vliet on Insight, Rollins discussed his time in The Shield, claiming Reigns was initially the weak link in the faction due to having less experience than him and Moxley. Nevertheless, the former World Heavyweight Champion pointed out that The OTC was a fast learner:
"In the beginning, you could've picked Roman as a weak link just based on his experience but he's an extremely quick learner, extremely quick. Obviously, the business is in his blood. His family's been in it for generations. But like, he's super observant and like understands everything immediately. So, he picked up stuff like a sponge and understood what his role was within the group and like took it to the next level," he said.

The 38-year-old explained that Reigns has always taken the opportunity to learn from everyone he worked with, adding that once The Shield "got cooking," there were no longer weak links in the group:
"And you kinda watched that throughout his career, how he developed. You see the people he works with, he learns from them, he watches them in the ring, outside the ring, 'how do I model myself after that if that's the success that I want? What can I take from that?' He does that very well. So, once we got cooking, there were no weak links. And then as you look at where we're all at now, no weak links." [From 33:08 to 34:00]

Seth Rollins claimed Roman Reigns wouldn't have reached his current status in WWE if not for him
In the same interview with Chris Van Vliet on Insight, Seth Rollins disclosed that he was jealous of WWE treating Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes as the faces of the company.
Meanwhile, he claimed neither of the two huge superstars would not have reached their current status if not for him:
"I mean, look, Roman doesn't get to where he's at without me, I don't think. I think he would tell you that as well. And certainly, Cody coming back, there's a reason when he came back that I was the first person they put him with, so I don't think he's where he's at if it's not for me. I don't mean that in a way that's arrogant or anything, but I've always been the person who wanted to put the industry and the company before my own personal desires," Seth Rollins said.
