Professional wrestling has always been unpredictable, with many new players emerging sporadically to compete with WWE. During the latest Legion of RAW episode, Vince Russo discussed Shane McMahon potentially kicking off a new company and getting Kurt Angle back.
The wrestling world hasn't been the same since Vince McMahon was forced out of the WWE after he was accused of serious allegations in former employee Janel Grant's lawsuit. As his legal battles continue, many speculate that the disgraced ex-WWE boss could try establishing a new wrestling organization if he overcomes the ongoing lawsuit. For some time now, fans and pundits have spoken about Vince joining hands with his son Shane to lay the groundwork for another wrestling promotion, despite how unlikely it might sound.
Vince Russo, however, didn't rule it out. While speaking on Legion of RAW, he noted how well-liked Shane McMahon was within the industry, and that could convince many big-name veterans to return. He claimed that if Vince McMahon escaped his current predicament, he, Brock Lesnar, and Shane McMahon could easily secure a network deal.
If that ends up happening, the former WWE writer didn't put it beyond Shane O'Mac to get Kurt Angle back in the ring. While the Olympic gold medalist might not be physically able to wrestle anymore, he has undergone various surgeries. The 11-time WWE champion is in much better shape than before his retirement match in 2019.
A top AEW star just called one of his colleagues 'spoiled' and 'narcissistic' HERE.
Russo explained:
"But bro, that's where Shane comes in. Bro, everybody likes Shane. I guarantee you Shane could get Kurt Angle back to wrestle again. Well, he can get him to do something. Guys, I don't know, and I'm sure some did, but I don't know any wrestler who had heat with Shane McMahon. I don't know any wrestler that did not like Shane McMahon." [From 15:00 onwards]
Even if he doesn't return to compete, Vince Russo believed Shane could have Angle do something else on TV, and Kurt might not be the only legend interested in the proposition.
At this point, imagining a wrestling company with Vince and Shane McMahon at the helm would seem impossible, but as mentioned earlier, anything can happen in professional wrestling.
