The much-awaited Netflix docuseries on former WWE Chairman Vince McMahon premiered on September 25, 2024. The show takes viewers through the rollercoaster career of Vince. It features several top names, including the 79-year-old himself.
The series has a total of six episodes, which tell the stories of Vince McMahon’s bumpy journey to success, how he managed to transform the professional wrestling industry into the global phenomenon it is today, the controversies surrounding him, and more.
Netflix's Mr. McMahon also focuses on the legendary promoter's family life. In episode one, “Junior,” the docuseries' makers have showcased the unique relationship between Vince and his father. It also highlights how Vince's father did not consider him as a potential buyer for his company when he decided to sell the organization.
The final episode focuses on Vince McMahon's relationship with his son, Shane McMahon. At one point, Shane disclosed that he did risky spots in matches just to get a pat on his back from his father. He also narrated the story of how he earned Vince's respect after his WWE comeback.

Shane McMahon revealed that he earned the respect of his dad after his Hell in a Cell Match against The Undertaker at WrestleMania 32.
“I got a hug that night. It was a very emotional return. I got a pat on the back and a hug. Got that one. I had to earn that one. I guess I did,” Shane said.
In the same episode, Vince McMahon mentioned how his dad never told him that he was proud of him, but he had always been proud of Shane and what he had done in the business. Vince even revealed what his son told him in his ear after the WrestleMania 32 match. Shane said, “That’s all I ever wanted, was your respect.”
Presently, Vince and Shane are not associated with WWE. The 79-year-old sold the global juggernaut to Endeavor. Meanwhile, Shane-O-Mac was recently seen with AEW’s Tony Khan.
