Shanky sends one-word message to released WWE star

Former WWE Superstar Shanky has sent a message to a recently released star on Instagram. The star in question is none other than Jinder Mahal.

The Modern Day Maharaja, along with several other names, was let go by WWE in April 2024. He didn't seem too happy with the release. Mahal has since been waiting for his non-compete clause to finish so that he can wrestle elsewhere.

Jinder Mahal recently shared a heartfelt post on Instagram titled "The journey continues..." The post received a response from his former stablemate, Shanky.

Jinder Mahal thanked his peers for their well wishes after WWE release

Shortly after his release, Jinder Mahal shared a video on his official social media handles.

He sent a message of appreciation for the ones who texted and called him following his release.

“Hey it’s the Maharaja. It’s been an eventful week, to say the least, but it’s all good,” Jinder Mahal said. “I wanna first say thank you. Thank you to anyone who reached out, all the love, support, DMs, phone calls, texts, comments. I appreciate all of you guys. I also wanna thank everyone in the locker room, all the guys and girls, everyone working backstage, behind the scenes. Thank you. 12 years, two runs. I got to see and do amazing things, so many dream matches, traveled the world, got to do things that I never thought I’d be able to accomplish, championships, being in a rock band. Mahal is a former WWE Champion and is still in incredible shape. It remains to be seen what's next for The Modern Day Maharaja when his non-compete clause is over.
