Shawn Michaels has opened up about a popular star's future in WWE. NXT and TNA have been working together as of late and it has led to many new stars appearing on Tuesday nights.
Joe Hendry's entrance music has gone viral and the 36-year-old debuted on NXT in a Battle Royal last month. He was eliminated right away but had a conversation with Shawn Michaels backstage and teased future appearances.
In an interview with Inside the Ropes, The Heartbreak Kid stated that he would love to work with Hendy again in WWE.
"The short dealings that I had with him [Joe Hendry], I liked him a great deal. So again, nothing would thrill me more than to have the opportunity to work with Joe Hendry in the future. I think he would tell you the same thing, he is someone who wants to continue to grow and move up."

Michaels noted that he had nothing else to add about Hendry working with WWE and said that he has a bright future. HBK also praised the TNA star for thinking outside the box and generating buzz on his own.
"But right now, unfortunately, nothing to add at this point in time, but I think he’s a young man that’s very bright, and certainly has a very bright future and I appreciate the way he has generated this on his own and I think that always speaks well of somebody. Again, you used the words thinking outside of the box, he’s obviously done that and I always appreciate the intellect that it takes to grow outside the wheelhouse that they’re in," said Michaels. Speaking with Emily Mae in an exclusive interview with Sportskeeda Wrestling, the former Universal Champion shared that he has requested a WrestleMania match with Shawn Michaels several times. However, the WWE legend has turned him down every time he has asked.
"I've said in other interviews, I've been bothering Shawn Michaels every year. Like clockwork around November, I start bothering him about WrestleMania. He says no every time. I don't expect it to change, but I'm gonna keep trying." [From 01:41 to 02:05]
