Sheamus backed a fellow Irish star to win a major title match tonight on WWE RAW. The veteran will also be in action in a grudge match against Imperium's Ludwig Kaiser.

Lyra Valkyria and Dakota Kai have made it to the final of the Women's Intercontinental Championship Tournament and will be squaring off tonight on the red brand. The winner of the match will be crowned the inaugural champion.

Ahead of tonight's episode of WWE RAW, the company shared a video of Sheamus helping Valkyria work out and wondered if the former NXT Women's Champion would be able to win the tournament.

Sheamus reacted to the post and made it known that he was picking Valkyria to become the first Women's Intercontinental Champion tonight on RAW. You can check out his comment in the screengrab below.

"You’ll never beat the Irish ☘️," he wrote.

Lyra Valkyria made it to the final of the Queen of the Ring Tournament in 2024 but was defeated by Nia Jax. The Irresistible Force went on to defeat Bayley at SummerSlam after that to become the WWE Women's Champion. However, Tiffany Stratton finally cashed in her Money in the Bank contract earlier this month on SmackDown to capture the title from Jax.

Sheamus reveals frustration with WWE officials over his entrance music

RAW Superstar Sheamus recently disclosed that he was frustrated over not getting to use his "Written in My Face" theme song.

Speaking with Chris Van Vliet on the INSIGHT podcast, the 46-year-old shared that he was tired of asking the company to let him use the entrance song. The former leader of The Brawling Brutes also complimented fans for their creativity for coming up with memes about the track.

"Oh man, a long time ago. Maybe, I don't know. Maybe 2010. People are very creative on the internet. Very creative, especially with music. I do miss that song, though. A lot of people were upset I brought it back but wasn't allowed to keep it. [can we have it back?] Maybe... I don't know, man. You want to go and ask? You go ask, I'm tired of asking. I'm all out of asking," he said.

The veteran has never won the Intercontinental Championship during his career and came up short in a Triple Threat Match against Bron Breakker and Ludwig Kaiser for the title at WWE Survivor Series 2024. It will be interesting to see if the legend can defeat Ludwig Kaiser tonight on RAW.
