Sheamus returned to WWE RAW on Monday, December 30 in Houston, Texas. He attacked fierce rival Ludwig Kaiser before making a bold claim ahead of the red brand's debut on Netflix next week.
The Celtic Warrior suffered a rib injury at Survivor Series: WarGames during his Triple Threat match for the Intercontinental Championship against Bron Breakker and Kaiser. He was out for four weeks, making his comeback last Monday to punish Gunther's right-hand man.
Speaking to Cathey Kelly backstage after the asssault, the former WWE Champion promised to avenge his injury and put Kaiser through the same pain. He also mentioned Breakker and how they will have a match again to fulfill his dream of becoming Intercontinental Champion.
"After the last four weeks of sleepless nights with these ribs, I cannot wait to give this Ludwig Kaiser tenfold. But I’m not gonna dwell on the past. I’m gonna look forward, and there’s a new year around the corner. 2025 is gonna be the year of the Celtic Warrior. Bron Breakker, see you. There’s a match with you as well, a match the world wants to see so I can finally defeat you and get my ultimate dream of becoming Intercontinental Champion. So the question is this. Ludwig Kaiser, Bron Breakker, are you up for the fight of your lives? To Netflix, are you ready for banger after banger after banger after banger after banger after banger?" Sheamus said. A top AEW star just called one of his colleagues 'spoiled' and 'narcissistic' HERE.
The only WWE accolade not in Sheamus' trophy cabinet is the Intercontinental Championship. He has won it all except one of the most prestigious titles in WWE history.
Sheamus' WWE career accomplishments
The Celtic Warrior began his WWE career in 2006 at Florida Championship Wrestling. He spent around three years in developmental before getting called up to the main roster on ECW. He was called up in June 2009 and was WWE Champion six months later.
Sheamus has won the WWE Title three times in his career, as well as one World Heavyweight Championship reign. He's also a three-time United States Champion and five-time Tag Team Champion with Cesaro. He's also one of three stars in WWE history to win the King of the Ring, Royal Rumble and Money in the Bank along with Edge and Brock Lesnar.
The only thing missing on his Hall of Fame-caliber resume is the Intercontinental Championship. He came close a few times during his feud with Gunther, but always came up short.
