The Kevin Owens—Cody Rhodes saga keeps fans engaged with massive twists and turns. Their rivalry kicked off at WWE Bad Blood 2024 and has been making headlines around the world since then. Both men faced each other at Saturday Night's Main Event, where the American Nightmare brought out the Winged Eagle WWE Championship to cater to the retro theme.
While Rhodes won the match, Owens delivered a package piledriver to him after the show went off-air, leaving the WWE Universe shocked. Further, The Prizefighter also walked out with the Winged Eagle Title, calling himself the 'true' WWE Champion.
During a recent live event in Jacksonville, Cody Rhodes marked a surprising return to defend his Undisputed WWE Championship in a steel cage match against Kevin Owens. The American Nightmare made it out of the steel structure first, marking a massive victory against The Prizefighter.
Following the match, Rhodes was seen with the Undisputed WWE Championship and the Winged Eagle title. However, Kevin Owens tried to unleash another attack on Rhodes, attempting the package piledriver, which could have ended the latter's career. However, the champion was able to reverse the move and deliver a Cross Rhodes to Owens, leaving the show with both titles.
