Booker T recently discussed WWE's recent decision that shook the professional wrestling industry. The company opened its doors for collaborations with other promotions such as TNA Wrestling, Marigold, Pro Wrestling NOAH, and Game Changer Wrestling.
WWE surprised a lot of people when it began booking TNA talents such as Jordynne Grace and Joe Hendry on NXT television. Iyo Sky and AJ Styles also wrestled in Marigold and Pro Wrestling NOAH, respectively, while Shayna Baszler was featured on GCW's Bloodsport back in April.
On the latest episode of the Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T opened up about the recent showcasing of other promotions in WWE and thought that it should have happened much earlier.
"I feel like this is something that should have been done a long time ago. Being able to work with other companies like this because the one thing I always talk about is the talent. I feel like the talent is the one thing that has been overlooked around the world because WWE has been so closed off to the rest of the world. Now the world is open up to where we've seen so many talent get a chance to be seen," the Hall of Famer said. [43:14 - 43:40]

It's unclear if WWE will continue working with other promotions across the world. They are expanding their roster to have a worldwide appeal, with Stephanie Vaquer its most recent acquisition.
Booker T reveals his favorite NXT stars at the moment
In the same episode of the Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T was asked about his five current favorites in NXT. The two-time WWE Hall of Famer has been working as a color commentator for NXT for some time now.
"Ethan Page. … Probably Lexis King, the king of all television, yeah. Let's say as well as Je'Von Evans definitely doing some really, really good work, the young OG. Trick Williams, my boy. My boy, Trick Williams, definitely. I'm looking forward to him getting back in the saddle and there's nothing better than the one and only The Prodigy Roxanne Perez. She's the best in the business right now. She's definitely taken her game to another level," Booker said. [37:21 - 38:04]
For those who don't know, Roxanne Perez is a product of Booker T's Reality of Wrestling. He has been like a proud father since Perez made a name for herself in NXT.
