Wade Barrett couldn't help but express his admiration for a current SmackDown star despite his abysmal loss rate in 2024. Wade Barrett admitted that the superstar has historically stepped up during title matches.
There were two big title matches this week - with the Men's and Women's United States Championship on the line. Chelsea Green retained her Women's US Title in a rematch against Michin. The other one was a rematch between Shinsuke Nakamura and LA Knight. As you probably know, Nakamura's win-loss rate was abysmal in 2024 after mostly being off television for a good chunk of the year.
According to Cagematch.net, Nakamura's loss rate in singles matches in 2024 is an abysmal 93.2%. He won only 3 of his 44 matches. Despite this, Wade Barrett admitted that Shinsuke Nakamura has historically been great in championship matches.

His reigns weren't met with great fanfare due to the way they were handled, but he indeed has a good record in stepping up in title matches.
This week, he technically won by DQ as Jacob Fatu and Tama Tonga interfered. This followed an earlier segment where LA Knight booted Jacob Fatu out of the arena.
