Randy Orton has grown a lot since his early days as an impulsive youth in WWE. He has now become a beloved veteran and is enjoying every minute of it. Orton is also known for his playful nature, which was evident in a recent clip that is making the rounds on social media.

Tommaso Ciampa tried to hit an RKO on The Legend Killer after disguising himself. However, the move did not go as planned, as Orton kneeled just in the nick of time. He then got up and casually walked away.

This video looked obviously planned, with Randy Orton playing along. However, SmackDown's Grayson Waller was not amused. Ahead of his title defense against DIY this Friday, he took a dig at his opponent on X/Twitter:

"I thought you were supposed to hand in your mark card when you signed your contract," Grayson Waller wrote.

Meanwhile, Orton is gearing up for a fight alongside Kevin Owens and Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes. The trio are booked to step in the ring with The Bloodline at Money in the Bank.

Randy Orton's WWE retirement plans after returning from career-threatening injury

A few months ago, Randy Orton did an interview for the YouTube channel Adam's Apple, in which he informed fans that if he is wrestling into his 50s, he wants a normal schedule, unlike legendary stars like The Undertaker and Shawn Michaels.

Those names took time off throughout the year and made it in time for big matches, especially on The Grandest Stage Of Them All. Orton also added that maybe 50 itself is a good number:

"I feel so great after my surgery. I'm a full-time guy, I don't want to do the old Undertaker or Shawn Michaels schedule which they needed to do, understandably. But you know, wrestle at WrestleMania, take the summer off, maybe you see them at SummerSlam, yada, yada, yada. I want to be on the road every week. I want to make all the TVs. I want to be on all the PLEs. At 44, just turned 44, I would love to be able to go into my 50s. Maybe I'll wrestle till I'm 50 and call it. That's 30 years."

Shockingly, Orton's PLE win-loss record since his WWE return in November 2023 has been awful. He has not won a match other than his comeback win at Survivor Series: WarGames. But perhaps that could change this Saturday night.
