A major name laid out Austin Theory during the tapings for next week's episode of WWE SmackDown. He was also stabbed in the back by a former champion.

On the latest episode of SmackDown, Theory and his tag team partner Grayson Waller confronted Cody Rhodes during the opening segment. Things turned physical as they got into the ring and attacked the Undisputed WWE Champion in a 2-on-1 beatdown.
However, undefeated boxer Terence Crawford was in the crowd, and he handed The American Nightmare a steel chair, which the latter used to fend off A-Town Down Under. Crawford is set to fight Israil Madrimov next month, and he showed up on the blue brand this week to promote the bout.
In the SmackDown tapings for next week's episode, Terence Crawford entered the ring to confront Austin Theory and Grayson Waller.
The heels trashed talked him, but Waller threw Theory under the bus by nominating him to knock out the boxer. Unfortunately for the former United States Champion, the opposite happened, and he was laid out in the ring instead.
