A Money in the Bank cash-in attempt almost occurred during the main event of tonight's episode of WWE SmackDown. However, a former champion returned to prevent it during a title match on the blue brand.
Nia Jax defended her WWE Women's Championship in a Street Fight against Michin in the main event of this week's edition of SmackDown. The Irresistible Force captured the title by defeating Bayley at SummerSlam. Michin took control of the action early and got a huge pop from the crowd after pulling a table out from under the ring. However, Nia Jax bashed the challenger with a kendo stick before she could set it up.
Michin battled back and knocked the champion to the ground as the show went to a commercial break. When WWE SmackDown returned, Michin sprayed a fire extinguisher in the champion's face. She followed it up with a Dropkick off the top rope and a Tornado DDT for a near fall.
Nia Jax battled back and set Michin up on a table in the ring. However, Michin connected with a Powerbomb through the table. Women's Money in the Bank winner Tiffany Stratton rushed the ring and bashed Michin with the briefcase. Stratton contemplated cashing in, but Nia Jax noticed her. The Buff Barbie then leveled Michin by hitting her with a briefcase and set up for the Prettiest Moonsault Ever.

Bayley showed up and attacked Stratton. The two stars battled through the crowd as Michin rolled up Nia Jax for a two-count. Jax connected with a Samoan Drop through a table and dragged the challenger to the corner. The champ placed a garbage can on top of Michin and hit her with The Annihilator for the pinfall victory to retain the WWE Women's Championship.
