Despite the universal backlash, WWE has continued to push Roman Reigns as the top babyface of the company. Over time, fans have accused WWE of shoving Reigns down their throats, as he continues to get booed, in spite of his face status.
According to Inquisitr, the latest WWE Superstar to join the 'turn Roman Reign heel' bandwagon is none other than the Texas Rattlesnake, Stone Cold Steve Austin.
Austin has echoed what Jim Ross said earlier and appreciated Reigns for his in-ring ability. Austin also offered Reigns some valuable advice regarding his ‘selling’ abilities. Austin was quoted on the October 2016 edition of his podcast, The Steve Austin Show, as saying:
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
“Because he sells so much, he just needs a more active sell to keep those people buying in, so he can get that sympathy.
He’s a big, good looking guy. He’s putting his game together. Come up with better storylines for the guy. I still have high hopes for Roman Reigns.”
On The PWTorch Livecast, Austin emphasised that Reigns needs to get more aggressive with his approach. Austin further went to explain, why turning Reigns heel would be a good idea:
“That’s what’s going to make it fun again because everybody is going to be so onboard with booing him! I’m telling you, once he goes through that process, whether that takes one year, two years (or) whatever, then they’re going to end up loving the guy.”
With the Universal Championship bout between Owens and Reigns at the helm, WWE RAW brand-exclusive pay-per-view, Roadblock: End of the Line, could very well end up being sub-par.

Only time will tell whether WWE would finally pull the trigger on turning Roman Reigns heel or not, but for now, it looks like WWE might be sticking with the decision of keeping him as a face.
