A WWE star paid a subtle tribute to Cody Rhodes on NXT. He even acknowledged their history together.

Since Ethan Page appeared in NXT, he has been treated like a major star. He made his in-ring debut at NXT Battleground for the NXT Championship. Despite losing this match, Page got another shot and, this time, walked away with the title.
However, he still can't manage to shake off Oro Mensah. The young star has been obsessed with Ethan Page since the latter attacked Noam Dar. Mensah has ambushed him multiple times backstage, which also resulted in him getting banned from a show.

Tonight on NXT, Ethan Page was looking to speak with Ava about Oro Mensah, but Robert Stone and Stevie Turner informed him that the General Manager had no time. During this segment, Page was seen holding the NXT Championship by his hip similar to how Cody Rhodes holds the Undisputed WWE Championship.
This could be him paying homage to their past in AEW, where they competed against each other. In fact, Cody once defended his TNT Championship against Page.

It remains to be seen if Ethan Page will be able to overcome this Oro Mensah problem soon.

A wrestling aficionado since childhood, Sunil used to imitate his favorite wrestlers as a young kid, and started writing professionally about the sport via Sportskeeda’s revenue-sharing opportunity.
Sunil admires former world champions AJ Styles, Will Ospreay, and Kenny Omega for their ability to consistently deliver great matches as well as entertain crowds with their mic skills.
If ever given a chance to change a storyline, Sunil would have booked Roman Reigns to end The Undertaker’s WrestleMania streak instead of Brock Lesnar. According to him, The Tribal Chief needed the victory more than Brock Lesnar, as the latter was already an established performer when he defeated ‘Taker. He would’ve also made that as Taker’s final match.
