Ever since R-Truth reunited with The Miz in his fight against The Judgment Day, the duo have been part of some entertaining moments, thanks to R-Truth's antics. Several months ago, The Miz mentioned his goal of winning the tag titles as Awesome Truth and at WrestleMania 40, that dream was realized when they captured the RAW Tag Team Championship in a six-pack ladder match.
The following week on RAW, Triple H handed them the new title belts and rebranded them as the World Tag Team Champions. During that same episode, DIY won a number contender match for the World Tag Team Championship.

Tonight on the Monday Night Show, both teams squared off in a title match. Both teams started off in a friendly manner, but it didn't take long for this match to escalate due to the competitive nature of the men involved. Although DIY put on a tough fight, Awesome Truth prevailed in the end.
Following the match, Awesome Truth extended a handshake. While Johnny Gargano accepted, Tommaso Ciampa walked away from the ring leaving everyone confused.

If ever given a chance to change a storyline, Sunil would have booked Roman Reigns to end The Undertaker’s WrestleMania streak instead of Brock Lesnar. According to him, The Tribal Chief needed the victory more than Brock Lesnar, as the latter was already an established performer when he defeated ‘Taker. He would’ve also made that as Taker’s final match.
