A recent segment on WWE RAW has received high praise from a Hall of Famer. The segment in question was the debut of the Wyatt Sicks, which happened last week as the show closed.

Before the tragic passing of Bray Wyatt, there had been murmurs of a new faction coming into the active scene. However, unfortunate circumstances led to the plans being scrapped. On RAW last week, Wyatt Sicks, led by Uncle Howdy, made their debut appearance in a chilling segment.

Speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling's The Wrestling Time Machine, hosted by Mac Davis, Teddy Long was asked to share his thoughts on the segment. The WWE Hall of Famer stated that it was a very well-put-together segment and one of the best tributes to a wrestler that he had seen. He also noted that Wyatt deserved nothing less and thanked the promotion.

"That was really put together very well. I mean very well. It was probably one of the greatest tributes I have seen you know, to a wrestler. And Bray certainly deserved that man, 'cause he was one h*ll of a nice guy man, and like I said, that was put together real man. Thank you WWE," said Long. [0:46 onwards]

Bill Apter did not like the Wyatt Sicks debut on WWE RAW

While Teddy Long was impressed with the debut appearance of the Wyatt Sicks, veteran journalist Bill Apter had the opposite reaction.

Speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling's UnSKripted show, Apter stated that he would have preferred the Wyatt storyline to be left alone. He added that although the tribute to the late wrestler was nice, it became more than that. He also noted how sequels don't always live up to the original act and wished to remember Bray just the way he was, before his untimely passing, and that he wasn't interested in the new chapter of the story.

"I felt that if this was a tribute to Bray Wyatt with his brother coming out with the lantern and all that, that was nice. But it became more than his tribute. So I am going to echo the words of Hector Guerrero, where I am gonna say, 'Leave it alone.' We don't need the sequel. The sequels are usually never as good as the original, and I wanna remember the whole Bray Wyatt shtick the way it was. Not the new chapter without him," Apter noted. [5:35 onwards]

As of now, it remains to be seen how WWE handles the new faction going forward and what storylines they put together.
